8/30 School Starts Tuesday!/ Summer Math Packets August 30, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — Amy @ 4:58 pm

I hope that everyone has had a nice summer!  School starts up again on Tuesday September 6th, the day after Labor Day.  Don’t forget to complete your summer math packet, have a parent check it over with the answer key and initial the front page, and turn it in to me on the first day of school.  The math packet is a great way to review concepts from the previous year and get yourself ready for this year’s math topics.

I look forward to seeing everyone next Tuesday September 6th!

7/19 5th Grade Parties Tomorrow and Thursday! July 19, 2011

Tomorrow we will have a 5th grade “graduation” party.  If they want, parents may send students with snacks and beverages  to share as well as paper cups.

Thursday morning we will take a quick trip to my place.  All permission slips need to be turned in tomorrow!  Students may bring snacks or drinks that are on the healthier side to the gathering at my house if they wish.  Thanks again to parents who volunteered to drive!

Reminder: Please send your child to school tomorrow with a bag to bring home all remaining belongings and anything “purchased” at our end-of-the-year checkbook auction!  (Parents may send in donated items for the auction such as books, games, art supplies, etc.)

7/18 Summer Math Packets in Boxes July 18, 2011

Summer math packets along with answer sheets are now in student boxes.  Be looking for an end-of-the-year test (Unit 12) that should be treated not as a test but as homework.  (Students may get help with the work.)  Math packets can be handed in to Amy at the beginning of next school year.  Students not returning to the Museum School can also benefit from doing the packet as it’s a great review!  Thanks for your help at home!
